Last week, I went with my two oldest sons – Andrew and Evan – on a week long missions trip to Costa Rica. The official slogan of Costa Rica is Pura Vida, which means Pure Life. We went with Adventures in Missions – you can visit their website HERE. We had a fantastic time, and met some wonderful people, both in our team and in the country itself. I will write more about our Costa Rican adventures, but for now I thought I’d post a few pictures from the trip.

First, a geography lesson for those of you who may not know where Costa Rica is located. It is in Central America, situated between Nicaragua to the north and Panama to the south. From New Jersey, it was about a 5 hour flight.

I’ll start off with the church, Iglesia El Eden, where we stayed for the week. Pastor Marcos (on the right) and everyone with the church was extremely kind, generous and loving to all of us. We made some good friends.

Here are some shots of the inside of the church, including the worship team that was rehearsing the day we arrived.

Here is a picture of our missions team (excluding, unfortunately, our fearless leader Angela, who was taking the picture). We gathered from all over, from Canada, New Jersey, Wisconsin, Arkansas, Georgia, Ohio, Indiana, New York and Virginia (I think that’s all of them).

I’ll post more pictures in subsequent posts – pictures of the neighborhood, of some schools we visited, and from the National Park that we visited on our “free day.” Until then, “AdiĆ³s!”
