We don’t often associate being “stuck” as a good thing.  No one wants to be stuck in traffic (welcome to New Jersey), stuck in the mud, stuck in a dead end job, stuck with an unpleasant task, stuck with what to write next on your blog, or stuck in a rut.  So, when is being stuck a good thing?  It’s when you are “stuck” in a routine.

Now, before you tell me I don’t know what I’m talking about, hear me out.  I’m not talking about being stuck in the same old daily routine of getting up, driving through traffic to work, being at work, driving home, eating, cleaning up and going to bed just so you can wake up tomorrow and start all over again (sheesh, I’m depressed just writing that).  No, I’m applying this phrase to your home based business, as in being in and maintaining a routine that takes you closer to your goals.  In order to hit your target, it’s crucial to focus on it and work toward it on a consistent basis.

You don’t have to spend every waking moment feverishly working on your business, but you do need to set aside time each day and do something that will build your business in some way.  Some people are able to put a lot of hours into building their business, and they are able to achieve success relatively quickly.  Others do not have a lot of spare time, and their businesses might not grow as fast.  However, I am a firm believer in the old adage “slow and steady wins the race.”  If you can condition yourself to be persistent and consistent, develop a routine where you are doing something to grow your business everyday, I truly believe that you will ultimately achieve success in your network marketing business.
